Manila Water Receives 3 Quill Awards

Ayala-led Manila Water once again received major awards at the recently-held 15th Philippine Quill Awards held last June 5at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, Newport City.

Manila Water’s Sustainability Department program “Si Rungis at Si Linis: Ang Kwento ng Dalawang Patak ng Tubig” won a Quill Award of Excellence in the Communications Skills Division under the Audio and Visual category.

The said puppet show “Si Rungis at Si Linis: Ang Kwento ng Dalawang Patak ng Tubig” was earlier developed as part of Manila Water’s environmental education campaign to strengthen its role as the leading water and sanitation service provider in the country.

The story raises the public school students’ awareness on the importance of water sanitation and engages young hearts in the work of preserving the environment, leading them to become the stewards of creation.

Also, first time to win a Quill Award of Merit in the Communication Management Division is Manila Water’s Enterprise Risk Management program, “Gawad Iwas-Lunas: Upholding Risk Management Excellence” in Manila Water under the category of Internal Communication.

Gawad Iwas-Lunas, Manila Water’s Risk Management Excellence Awards program, is the first of its kind within the Ayala group of companies. Launched in 2014, the awards program aims to recognize employees—whether as individuals, teams or departments—that have significantly embedded risk management in their operations and exhibited risk culture in Manila Water.

The Risk Management Excellence Awards is one of the main components of the company’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program, aligned with global best practices in corporate risk management.

Lastly, Manila Water’s Advocacy and Research Department’s Rising to the Future: Manila Water’s 2016 Corporate Video has also got a nod of excellence in the Communication Skills Division for the Audio-Visual category.

The 2016 Corporate Video demonstrates Manila Water’s continuing change and growth transformation through diversification and expansion both in the East Zone and new geographies. The music video creatively presented the company’s brand of service excellence through new projects, infrastructures, as well as its social and environmental advocacies.

The Quill Awards is the most recognized award-giving body in business communications and public relations that distinguishes and honors outstanding programs that reaches the highest global standard in business communication practices.
