Welcome To The Philippines iPhone4S!

I’ve been a loyal iPhone user for more than a year now (I’m currently using iPhone3GS) and of course, the announcement of iPhone4S arrival in the Philippines doesn’t just excite me but many Filipinos as well.

Just last night, two of the biggest and leading Telecom companies, Smart and Globe, launched the much-anticipated iphone4S. Yes, I wasn’t invited there but that doesn’t mean I wont blog about this new iPhone. I am, as I state earlier, is excited for this apple product.

Here’s some info I found at the Apple official website:

iPhone4S is available in two color: Black and White (I want to own a white version!). Height is 115.2 mm (4.5 inches), width is 58.6 mm (2.31 inches), depth is 9.3 mm (0.37 inch) and weight:  140 grams (4.9 ounces).

Its capacity is available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. It has a Retina display, 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen Multi-Touch display, 960-by-640-pixel resolution at 326 ppi, 800:1 contrast ratio (typical), 500 cd/m2 max brightness (typical), fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating on front and back, support for displaying multiple languages and characters simultaneously.

iPhone4s has a dual-core A5 chip which is said to be the most powerful iPhone processor ever. Two cores in the A5 chip deliver up to two times more power and up to seven times faster graphics. And you’ll feel the effects. Fast. iPhone 4S is quick and responsive, which makes all the difference when you’re launching apps, browsing the web, gaming and doing just about everything. And no matter what you’re doing, you can keep on doing it. Because the A5 chip is so power-efficient, iPhone 4S has an outstanding battery life.

One thing I like about iPhone is the quality of its camera and video. I record my video blogs using my iPhone. And iPhone4S just might be the best ever camera on a phone. With all-new optics,  it  just might be the only camera we’ll need. According to the website, behind every shot, you’ve got 8-megapixel resolution and a custom lens with a larger  f/2.4 aperture. Not to mention an improved backside illumination sensor, excellent auto white balance, advanced colour accuracy, face detection and reduced motion blur. That all means that no matter how many people, how much light and how much action you capture, everything looks exactly as it should. It also have a front camera with VGA-quality photos and video at up to 30 frames per second and photo and video geotagging.

iPhone4S also has a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery that can be charge via USB to computer system or power adapter. It has a talk time of up to 8 hours on 3G; up to 14 hours on 2G (GSM) with standby time of up to 200 hours. Battery lasts up to 6 hours on 3G; up to 9 hours on Wi-Fi when connected to the internet.Video playback is up to 10 hours and audio playback is up to 40 hours.
