Some of Philippine’s beautiful women today (not sure if I should include Liz Uy on this category) is featured as cover girls for Preview Magazine’s 17th anniversary issue.
The cover led by Anne Curtis and her real-life gorgeous friends in the showbiz industry, Solenn Heussaff, Georgina Wilson, Isabelle Daza, and Liz Uy was shot by ace fashion photographer Mark Nicdao, styled by Daryl Chang, with art direction from Vince Uy.
Although the cover looked stylish enough, I personally didn’t liked it that much. It somehow reminds me of a glamorous version of The Pussycat Dolls. And Liz Uy, who looks old enough (no idea how old she is really) to be included in the group cover, obviously needs to be with them as she is connected with the magazine, and also styles her famous friends on the cover. Sorry, but I think if Liz Uy will be on a group cover, she should join her other celebrity friends like Kris Aquino and Lucy Torres-Gomez, or with the likes of Gretchen Barretto and Dawn Zulueta. I am not saying Liz Uy is not pretty. I just think she doesn’t fit in to the other cover girls’ hotness.
Anne Curtis didn’t stand out as well even though she is strategically placed in the center cover. The cover seems like a ‘barkada photoshoot’ and it just happen that again, these girls are regular cover girls of Preview magazine.
Anyway, I’d still grab a copy of this issue simply because it’s Preview magazine’s anniversary issue. Available in magazine stands nationwide for Php 150.00 only under Summit Media.
