Fast-rising Kapuso teen star Elmo Magalona (full name Elmo Moses Arroyo Magalona) is the new brand ambassador for Magnolia Ice Cream‘s new product “Fizz” and “Cookie Monster“.
Before Elmo Magalona, it was World Boxing Champion Manny Pacquiao and his family who first endorse Magnolia Ice Cream.
Elmo Magalona is the sixth (of eight) child of the late Master Rapper Francis Magalona. Although he is connected to a famous showbiz family (his siblings Maxene, Saab, Frank and Arkin are all talents of GMA 7), Elmo Magalona is also making a name of his own in the entertainment industry. He has starred in some of GMA 7’s hit television shows, and blockbuster movies, and is soon to release his solo debut album.
His recent TV project is “Tweets For My Sweet” and is still being paired to Julie Anne San Jose which fans dubbed as “JuliElmo”.
Last April 27, which also marks his 18th birthday, Elmo Magalona was launched as the brand ambassador by Magnolia Ice Cream to promote its current product, “Fizz” Rootbeer Float ice cream stick and “Cookie Monster” which is Magnolia’s answer to the overly-hyped “Magnum” ice cream. Frizz is the first ice cream stick in rootbeer float flavor with vanilla ice cream, while fizz rootbeer Cookie Monster is a chocolate coated ice cream bar which is chocolate-y good for an affordable price which is Php 18.00 only.
During the press launch, Elmo Magalona performed his 1st single, “Three Stars and a Son“, and his father’s classic hit song “Mga Kababayan“. Check out his live performance video below:
