Movie Sneak Peak: My Cactus Heart

Finally, ABS CBN is now promoting “My Cactus Heart” movie starring Maja Salvador, Matteo Guidicelli and Xian Lim.

I was actually wondering why it’s not getting much promotion and publicity and I realized maybe it’s because of the Metro Manila Film Festival, and maybe because it’s still conflict with the ongoing “My Binondo Girl” where the three actors are also part of the hit teleserye.

Watching the trailer, I have a strong feeling that it will be a hit. Maja Salvador is a natural actress and very talented. She’s not only good with drama and horror but she can also do comedy flawlessly. I am still not that keen with Matteo Guidicelli’s (plays Karlo in the movie) acting but if he can improve how he talks, maybe I will take him seriously as an actor. But I must admit Maja and Matteo is a good match. And they really looks great as a couple.

New IT Boy Xian Lim who plays Bene in the movie, is being introduced here and is a good match for Matteo. But of course, we all know that at the end, it’s still Maja Salvador and Matteo Guidicelli because after all, if you’ll base it with the poster, obviously, it’s Maja and Matteo’s movie.

“My Cactus Heart” also stars seasoned actors Ricky Davao and Rossana Roces. I miss Rossana Roces. She is actually a great actress minus her personal drama. I admit being a follower of her old films and she’s really good and hopefully, she’ll be back for some more mainstream films.

The movie is directed by Enrico C. Santos and is released by ABS-CBN Film Productions Inc. and Skylight Films Production. Showing nationwide starting January 25, 2012.
