Last July 2012, Orange Magazine TV celebrated its 2nd year in the online community. It was a tough year and I must admit that the 1st year was a struggle in terms of making this online magazine make its mark or presence online.
The 2nd year was even harder because maintaining the website was costly and not everyone will support you. But luckily, I did managed to get some help from other bloggers I’ve met in some events coverage I did around the metro. Our website becomes more manageable and user friendly to our readers and subscribers. And I’d like to give that credit to Gary Magallanes, Mhel Ignacio, Jenner Alagao and Gabriel Diaz for providing a sleeker website layout.
But a good layout should have good contents too. And to everyone who contributed an article to Orange Magazine TV (Ruth Floresca, Enzo Luna, Marjorie Pineda, Kenneth Ignacio, Alwin Aguirre, Renan Jay Pacson, Stephanie Mayo, Gene Daniel Floresca, Ramcy Tirona, Justin Gabriel, Alex Dizon, Ria Hazel Lumandog, Imogen Reed, Joko Magalong, Oliver Oliveros, Aileen Siwa, Nonoy Floresca, Karla Avila, Mary Antonette Basbas, Jayson Paor, Alexandra Leal and everyone else whom I forgot to mention), thank you very much for trusting Orange Magazine TV with your articles.
Anyway, the reason why I’m thanking everyone again is because Orange Magazine TV has finally made it to the Top 100 Pinoy. The website that compiles it, 100 Pinoy Blogs that Matter, is a monthly ranking of the most-read Filipino blogs. To ensure objectivity, the website claims that the rankings are being based solely on web traffic via the Alexa traffic data. Although for some top bloggers, this isn’t a big deal any more, and Orange Magazine TV only ranking #99 from the Top 100 list, I am still grateful because of what Orange Magazine TV has accomplished… so far. I’m not hoping to be on the top 10 (course, if we work harder and harder, we could achieve that too) but being included in the same list/category with top blogs like yugatech, biyahilo, chuvaness, our awesome planet, boy kuripot among others, is already an honor for me.
I know this isn’t something to brag about but for a website like Orange Magazine TV that undergo a lot of drama, stress and sleepless nights, I’m more than happy that somehow, our website still manages to stay strong despite heavy competition with other competitive online websites.
Here’s the list of the 100 Pinoy Blogs that matters:
