Jeff James is an international singer and composer with Filipino blood.
His father, Chuck James, is the owner of “Chuck James Music School” – one of the popular music school in Hawaii that has 3 main school branches. Jeffrey is one of the instructors.
In 2009, Jeff James formed his Reggae Fusion Award Winning band called “Talk to You Music (TTYM)”. The band originated from the island of Oahu where majority of the members met in high school or at Chuck James Music Studio. TTYM encompasses many genres of music while still incorporating the island flavor.
In 2010, their debut single “Hawaiian Girls” was released to Hawaii radio and hit #1. That year, his band T.T.Y.M. won the biggest battle of the bands in Hawaii called the “Mai Tai rumble” with a total cash and prizes worth $14,000.00 which started the band’s popularity in Hawaii.
In 2011, “Hawaiian Girls” won a prestigious award (Na Hoku Hanohano) . It is also included in the compilation albums “Aloha’n’Irie the untouched Riddim” (2011) that is released in Hawaii and Japan.
In 2012, his song “Good” reached #1 on Hawaiian radio.
Also in 2012, his songs “Love Me” and “Hawaiian Girls” were licensed to Japan and began receiving Japanese airplay.
His Song “Love me” is included in “Aloha’n’Irie Take me to Paradise” compilation Album (2012) that is also released in Hawaii and Japan.
In 2012 Hawaiian Girls got included in another compilation album called “Aloha Mele 2012” and “Bon-Voyage Mellow Hawaiian Rhythm 2012 “ that is released in Hawaii and Japan.
Recenty, Jeffrey James won 2013 Most Promising International Male Singer Performer of The Year by Top Brand Awards for his Entry
“Lets Not Pretend” and “Hawaiian Girls”
He also won 2013 People’s Asia Choice Awards as Best New International Male Performer and Recording Artist of the year.
Amidst his international success, he aspires to trace his roots and introduce his music to the Philippines.
