Events Coverage: Lawson Manila Press Conference (Photo + Video)

London-based Pop-Rock band Lawson is in Manila for a Philippine Promo Tour of their album, “Chapman Square“.

Before its scheduled performance at the Eastwood Mall Open Park in Libis, Quezon City on April 9 at 7:00 pm, the band met with the local press at The Gallery in Eastwood Richmonde Hotel earlier.

The band consists of Andy Brown (acoustic guitar and lead vocals), Ryan Fletcher (bass guitar and backing vocals), Joel Peat (lead guitar and backing vocals) and Adam Pitts (drums), who are originally from Liverpool, Nottingham, Chesterfield and Brighton. Lawson’s album “Chapman Square” is now seated comfortably high on the album charts, currently climbing the iTunes charts too in UK and Asia.

During the press conference, the band were awarded their 1st Gold Records (in the Philippines, and in Asia) by their record label, MCA Music (Universal Music Philippines). Lawson also shared to the press their experience so far in Manila, and the usual what’s your favorite and who influenced them.

The band’s singles “Taking Over Me” and “Standing In The Dark” are now certified hits and have both reached the Number 1 spot on Philippine Radio and Music Channels.
