Mitoy Yonting is The Voice of The Philippines’ first grand winner.
The 43-year-old showband vocalist (his band “The Draybers” regularly performs at the Resorts World Manila) bested the other four finalists Janice Javier (Team Apl.de.ap), Myk Perez (Team Bamboo) and Klarisse de Guzman (Team Sarah Geronimo).
Mitoy Yonting got a total votes of 57.60%. He won an entertainment package from Sony Bravia, an Asian tour for two, a brand new car from Ford Philippines, a tax-free cash prize of 2 million pesos, and a four-year recording contract from MCA Universal (Universal Music Philippines). Mitoy’s coach, Lea Salonga, on the other hand, is the first coach to win in The Voice of the Philippines.
