“The Voice of the Philippines” coach Bamboo faces off with the former vocalist of Rivermaya, the band that jump started the rock icon’s own musical career this weekend (November 22 and 23) in the top-rating and Twitter-trending singing-reality show’s blind auditions.
Before fronting the said band and eventually launching his solo career and releasing his own album, Jason Fernandez also joined singing contests when he was a kid. Now he gets back to competing as he joins the country’s biggest vocal competition on TV. Will he impress Bamboo Manalac and the other coaches? Which coaches will turn around for him? How will Bamboo react once he sees the aspiring “The Voice” artist?
This weekend, a woman also uses her voice not only to fulfill her dreams of being a professional singer but also to issue a plea to her father, who abandoned their family years ago, to show up and give them closure.
A tattoo artist, a former Star Magic talent, a theater performer, two househelps with inspiring stories, and an aspiring actor from Bohol will also try to get in the show through the blind auditions.
