Kapatid actor Alwyn Uytingco is very grateful for the blessings brought to him by his drama-comedy series Beki Boxer. He admits that he really felt the support of his network not just for the show but for himself as well. Since the program’s pilot telecast last March, Alwyn has been preoccupied with continuous projects and promotions in various parts of the country. And now that Beki Boxer nears its ‘Beki-ful Finale’ tonight (July 4), Alwyn Uytingco shares how he can never forget the series.

“I’m very thankful to God and of course, TV5, for giving me this series. I can really say Beki Boxer is a blessing for me,” says Alwyn Uytingco, who also plays Wendell in TV5’s love mystery drama JASMINE and a regular part in the Network’s Saturday gag show Tropa Mo Ko Unli.

Here’s Orange Magazine’s video interview with the Kapatid actor:

Meanwhile, Rocky Ponciano’s  (Alwyn Uytingco) rise to fame continues after winning against his love interest / best friend Atong (Vin Abrenica). But Alwyn himself shares that viewers still have a lot to watch out for. Incidentally, Beki Boxer’s finale week is also internationally known as Pride Week (officially starting June 29).

“It’s really a beki-ful ending!” says Alwyn. “They can’t miss his last battles because people will know that Rocky is a ‘Beki Boxer’. Since he has an upcoming international bout with Chameleon, the scandal attracts a lot of negative publicity for him. He has to decide now if he should come out of the closet. Will he be accepted by his fans? His family? Will he be able to fight for our country?”

In the story, a video revealing Rocky’s sexual orientation goes viral just in time for his upcoming fight against Chinese boxer Chameleon, played by real life Hong Kong professional boxer Rex Tso.

Will Rocky’s fight against Chameleon proceed as planned? What will be the nation’s reaction upon knowing that their boxing champ is gay? Will he be accepted by his family? And how about his lovelife – will he end up with Atong?

Completing the show’s stellar cast are Christian Vasquez, Cholo Barretto, Onyok Velasco, Joross Gamboa, John Regala, Claire Hartell, Kristel Moreno, Bekimon, Danita Paner and Candy Pangilinan. Beki Boxer is directed by Direk Jade Castro and Direk Monti Parungao, and produced by Joann C. Banaga, Jana Manalaysay, Roselle Lorenzo, Nelson Alindogan withMs. Wilma V. Galvante as over-all in-charge of production.

Don’t miss Beki Boxer’s ‘Beki-ful Finale’ this Friday, July 4, 7:00PM after Aksyon on TV5!
