New App Lets You Navigate BGC Like A Pro

Finding your way around the busy streets of Bonifacio Global City (BGC) is about to get a whole lot more convenient.

BGC’s master developer, Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation (FBDC) will be introducing a brand new app that will guide visitors and residents driving around BGC. To develop the app, FBDC inked a partnership with Yondu, a BGC-based IT company in the Philippines.

The new app focuses on providing a seamless connected user experience for both BGC’s visitors and city dwellers – providing traffic updates, bus routes, and even identifying available parking spaces, making the innovative app a must-have item for traversing the city with ease.

Aside from being able to virtually navigate the city, the app also aims to heighten the user’s BGC experience by letting them book movie tickets, and soon, check upcoming events, and access exclusive promos from establishments.

Here are some of the things that users can do on the BGC App:

  • Receive real-time traffic updates, identify available parking spaces, and get notified of buses’ estimated time of arrival.
  • Use the Explore feature to identify the nearest dining establishments, shopping centers, gyms, banks and ATMs.
  • Use the app’s Cinemas feature to browse movie schedules and skip the queues when booking tickets at the Bonifacio High Street Cinemas.

To ensure high-level performance and avoid compatibility issues, Yondu is building the app on native iOS and Android software development kits.

“BGC’s parks, public art, and other must-see spots have turned it into a home for the Metro’s art and tech scenes. Part of FBDC’s vision is to seamlessly integrate digital technology with the BGC experience, which the new BGC app aims to deliver,” said Joanne Magno, BGC’s Associate Manager for Marketing and Community Relations.

“We want to showcase how vibrant BGC truly is through the brand new app that everyone can access with ease and reliability through a few clicks on their smartphones,” said Yondu President, Joan Peñaflorida.

The new BGC app is now available in Google Play and App Store.
