CorporateTreasurer (CT), one of Asia’s leading publications for senior finance professionals, has recognized Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) as the “Best Bank” in the country. This is the first time CT winners were chosen by the top corporate treasurers and chief finance officers of top companies in Asia.
BPI was also given two other major awards—Best FX House and Best Trade & Supply Chain House in the Philippines—at the recently concluded CorporateTreasurer Awards 2018 held at the Swissôtel Merchant Court in Singapore.
To establish winners for the prestigious house awards, CT surveyed corporate treasurers and CFOs within the top 100 companies by revenues in each of the 13 major economies across Asia-Pacific, including India, to create a first-of-its-type census of the region, combining market penetration and satisfaction rating.
“We are honored to have been named as the best bank in the Philippines and one of the best banks in Asia Pacific. We are focused on digitalizing the bank. This will reduce the cost to serve and allow us to be more financially inclusive. We believe that growth must be accompanied by financial inclusion,” said Cezar Consing, President and CEO of BPI.
Since 2012, the CorporateTreasurer (CT) Awards have honored institutions and individuals that show proven vision and have broadened the treasury knowledge base within the Asia Pacific.
In December 2018, CT announced an exciting change to the awards, broadening the scope of its methodology to drill deeper into what exactly it is that makes for Asia Pacific’s best financial institutions and service providers.
The best bank in each country was determined by combining the market share and satisfaction ratings of three core transaction services: Cash Management, Trade and Supply Chain, and FX Services.
Launched in April 2012, the CorporateTreasurer is the only independent print publication in Asia dedicated to serving treasury teams and chief financial officers. Published by Haymarket Financial Media, the CorporateTreasurer was born out of FinanceAsia’s Corporate Treasury News and has become a forum for daily market intelligence and long-term strategic insight for senior finance professionals across Asia.
