My Family’s Quest For The Golden Nuggets!

The search for nutritious and delicious nuggets has finally come to an end. At the Quest for the Golden Nuggets held last August 6 at the Ronac Art Center in Ortigas Avenue, my family consists of my brother and sister and their kids, along with the other parents and kids enjoyed an exciting journey to unearth a mouthwatering and nutritious treasure of a treat, the Jollibee Chicken Nugget Crunchers.

The event place was colorful and converted the basketball court of Ronac Art Center into a huge playground. I’ve been invited to Jollibee‘s twice (the 1st one was at the launch of Jollibee’s Jollitown) and I’m excited because this is the only time I get to bring my kids (correction: my niece and nephew) to bond with me in my events coverage. I am really happy that Jollibee is making events like this one because it sure makes family ties more special. As a kid, I never get the chance to play with such huge playground and it was my first time to even play inside a huge inflatable playground! And I was not ashamed to play with all the kids jumping all over me! Hahahaha! Thank you Stratworks for allowing me and my family to have fun.

The highlight of the fun-filled day was a giant human board game where we were grouped into four teams (Green, Yellow, Blue and Red) where my family was designated in the Blue Team with our team captain Patricia Hizon, wife of basketball star Vince Hizon. Everyone teamed up to finish mental and physical tasks in a race to reach the Golden Key which the Yellow Team led by actress/model and mom Christine Jacob-Sandejas. Through the key, the winning team was able to unlock the mystery treasure chest and revealed the golden discovery – that moms can now treat their kids to a meal that is both delicious and nutritious with the Jollibee Chicken Nugget Crunchers. Also joining in the fun were celebrity families such as Lexi Schulze (Green Team) and Romina Urra-Gonzalez (Red Team) with their children who gamely participated in the various games and challenges.

The winners were given medals but everyone received gift certificates either from Time Zone and toy Kingdom. It was a fun day for everyone and I am happy to see many kids jumping and hopping around with joy.

Although the lunch that was served to us was not food from Jollibee (and even Christine Jacob-Sandejas said she was expecting some Jollibee Chicken Joy), we were given samples of the new Jollibee Chicken Nugget Crunchers which is the purpose of this event.

The Jollibee Chicken Nugget Crunchers is made of seasoned tender chicken with carrot bits (which makes it unique compared to other chicken nuggets available in the market), and it is fortified with Vitamin A for healthier eyesight-in golden yellow crunchy coating. It is also ‘dip-able’ in a sweet barbecue sauce that the young ones will love. But for me, I loved it even without the dip. It is soft in the inside but crunchy in the outside. And it’s healthy!

Kids can enjoy it in a Jollibee Kids Meal complete with rice, regular-sized softdrink, and the featured collectible toy for only P98. It can also be savored solo for P75, as a value meal with rice and regular-sized softdrink for P99, or with regular fries and regular-sized softdrink for P110.
