Derrick Monasterio Celebrate His Birthday at DSWD Nayon Ng Kabataan

Kapuso young actor Derrick Monasterio (full name: Derrick Llander Crimarco Monasterio) celebrates his birthday together with 100 kids from DSWD Nayon Ng Kabataan last August 18.

As an ambassador for the National Youth Commission (NYC), the 18-year-old actor choose to spend his special day through a feeding program and gift giving , with the help of his GMA Artist Center family, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and NYC.

Derrick Monasterio, one of GMA Networks’ hottest property, started doing charity events on his birthday last year at Boy’s Town. As NYC’s ambassador, he sees to it that he takes part in the activities that will help the youth, motivate and inspire them to be better individuals in the future. He also reveals that he is fond of children and that he likes playing with his pamangkin that’s why he chooses unfortunate children as his beneficiaries.

“Being a National Youth Commission ambassador made me realize that I can create change in the society through my own little ways. Nagyong 18 na ako, mas aware na ako sa mga nangyayari sa paligid and by this time, I can take more responsibility with my actions,” Derrick Monasterio said.

Derrick Monasterio is seen in GMA 7’s “Vampire Ang Daddy Ko” and “AnnaKareNina“. He is paired opposite another Kapuso tween star Barbie Forteza.
