ABS-CBN finally announced that actress-host Anne Curtis-Smith is set to play Dyesebel in an upcoming TV remake featuring the iconic mermaid character created by Mars Ravelo.
Anne Curtis is no stranger to playing mermaid character as she also did a similar role in the fantaserye “Dyosa” also from ABS-CBN aired in 2008.
According to the young actress, she was only informed about her role only yesterday (Wednesday). She vowed to prepare for the role, which has been played in the movies and on TV by the likes of Vilma Santos, Alma Moreno, Alice Dixson, Charlene Gonzales and most recently, by Marian Rivera.
Her leading men for the Kapamilya fantaserye are Sam Milby and Gerald Anderson.
