Since we missed Solenn Heussaff‘s press launch, MCA Music Inc. was kind enough to give me the chance to interview her for Orange Magazine TV. And lucky me, she is scheduled to do a mall tour at Festival Mall (Filinvest) in Alabang where I live.
For those living in a cave, Solenn Heussaff is a Filipino-French fashion designer, painter, make-up artist, tv host, actress and now singer. But her claim to fame in the Philippines was when she became part of Penshoppe clothing brand and as one of the Castaways in Survivor Philippines aired over GMA 7 and her recent movie “Temptation Island“. But before that, she has graced numerous fashion magazine covers and spreads and was almost in every fashion shows.
She was then cast at another GMA 7 show, “Captain Barbel” with Richard Gutierrez playing the Pinoy superhero, who also happens to be the host of Survivor Philippines and was romantically linked to him before.
But Solenn Heussaff has the face (and the body) and talent to make it in the entertainment scene making her the new IT GIRL. And so, MCA Music Inc. took notice of her singing talent where she first showcased at GMA 7’s Sunday variety show “Party Pilipinas” (where she is a regular now).
Though she confessed to be not a belter like Sarah Geronimo or Regine Velasquez and that she can’t reach high notes, she did make up with her sultry voice. Solenn Heusseff is a huge fan of artists like Adele and Amy Winehouse, she loves artists with husky voice like her.
Anyways, meeting her in person is a pleasant experience because you wont feel intimidated by her. She is actually approachable and gives you a smile and handshake. Although this isn’t my first time to meet her, the 1st time was with MCA Music’s Music Comes Alive event (related story here), she has this aura of a celebrity that you can’t stop staring at. She is very sexy and she knows how to promote herself.
Knowing that Solenn Heussaff has loads of fans, proof to that is her 212,000 +++ followers in her Facebook Page, I decided to do a contest for her. I asked my readers at Orange Magazine TV FB Page to send in their questions for Solenn Heussaff and the best question will be awarded with a signed album of her (with personal dedication and the winner’s name included).
But before the interview, I was advised to wait until her show ends because she said that she is trying to save her voice. And that was okay with me since I planned to stay longer to see her perform live anyways. Her front-act was the up and coming duo “The Lamars” who are real brothers, and performed some Bruno Mars songs and their original “Kung Puede Lang” composed by Urbandub frontman Gabby Alipe. Will blog more about The Lamars in my future posts.
Solenn Heussaff performed 4 tracks from her self-titled album starting of with her carrier single “Fire”. She also did “Ladies’ Night”, “Torn” and “Kiss”. The crowed loved her and as proof, she managed to sell almost 60 albums and willingly signed all of it after the performance. The nice thing about her is that she takes time to mingle with her fans, giving them small talks and the opportunity to take pictures with her. She didn’t act diva and hopefully, she remains humble.
I wanted to transcribe the whole interview but decided to just upload the video interview with questions being read as well by Solenn Heussaff. At first I worried that she will only answer a few since our readers sent more than 10 questions and we were given 15 minutes only for the interview. But Solenn Heussaff voluntarily said she is OK to answer all questions. And it means something for me since it is rare to interview celebrity like her without hassle.
Here’s the video of the interview with questions coming from Richard Benoza Tenorio, Lalou Abad, Rhon Delos Angeles, Helen Ramos, Gino Rovedillo, BadMike Yap, Pepi De Leon, Kristina Esperancilla Indangan, Jenny Gonzales Roxas, Myke Soon of mixofeverything.blogspot.com and our winner Resly George Amador whose question Solenn Heussaff liked so much.
And here’s Solenn Heussaff’s video message for winner Resly George Amador:
Once again, congratulations Resly George Amador! Please send us an e-mail at [email protected] on how you can claim your sweet prices!
Thank you MCA Music Inc. especially to Ms. Grace Foronda and Ms. Arlene Garcia for setting up the interview, and to Mr. Jude Ng for helping me cover the event. To view the photo album of Solennd Heussaff’s mall tour, you can check it here.

V8 Poker is a term that doesn’t seem to have a widely recognized meaning in the context of poker as of my last update. It could be a specific variant of the game, a poker room or website, or perhaps a reference to something else entirely. Could you provide more context or clarify what you’re looking for regarding V8 Poker? https://v8gamebai.com
