‘Blank Space’ Guy Sean O’Pry Models For Penshoppe

Sean O’Pry is already a big name in the fashion industry even before he appeared in Taylor Swift‘s massive music video “Blank Space” last November 2014. But the said music video made him even popular, and maybe one of the reason why he was tapped by Penshoppe – a leading local apparel brand in the Philippines – as their newest international brand ambassador.

The announcement was made thru Penshoppe’s YouTube channel last January 29, 2015.

17-year-old Sean O’Pry was scouted from his prom photos posted on MySpace by fashion stylist and former “America’s Next Top Model” judge Nolé Marin In 2006. As of September 2013, Sean O’Pry is the most successful male model in the world on models.com list of the Top 50 international male models having held this position for two years. In June 2009, he was named the world’s most successful male model of 2009 by Forbes publications. Previously, Sean O’Pry had been named the world’s eighth most successful male model of 2008 by the same magazine.

He has been featured in numerous advertising campaigns and editorials for Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren, Gianfranco Ferré, H&M, Armani Jeans, Marc Jacobs, Emporio Armani, Lacoste, Dsquared, American Eagle, Bottega Veneta, DKNY, Fendi, GQ, Dazed & Confused, V, Details, Barneys, Uniqlo, Bloomingdale’s, Belstaff, D2, Arena, Diesel, Gap, JOOP! and Numéro Homme. His runway credentials include opening Versace, Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy and Salvatore Ferragamo, and closing Moschino, Trussardi and Zegna. Other designers he has walked for include Roberto Cavalli, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Michael Kors, and Hermès.

Aside from playing love interest to Taylor Swift, Sean O’Pry also appeared in Madonna‘s music video “Girl Gone Wild” in 2012.

This year, Sean O’Pry is modelling for Penshoppe’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection— pieces with “a cool street vibe,” graphic prints, new silhouettes and a line of premium washed jeans.

Penshoppe, which has over 300 stores in the Philippines, 10 in Saudi Arabia, 18 in Indonesia and two in Cambodia, has gone from booking Hollywood stars to signing hot names in fashion. In an interview with Inquirer, Penshoppe brand director Jeff Bascon mentioned that Sean O’Pry has a very cool vibe and was an easy choice because “aside from him being the male face of fashion, he is someone who we can see rocking our stuff”. He also added that his cool attitude resonates what Penshoppe stands for.

Penshoppe have listed some of the best names in the international scene including Mandy Moore as its first celebrity endorser in 2001. It was followed by Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick in 2011. In 2012, Thai actor Mario Maurer, Hollywood actor Zac EfronThe Vampire Diaries‘ stars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev, Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester, biggest boyband One Direction, Revenge star Josh Bowman, was part of Penshoppe’s ” All Star” campaign. On 2014, supermodel Cara Delevingne was named as Penshoppe’s newest endorser.
