After reaching its Gold record status and Top 10 on Billboard World Music Chart, Alden Richards’ self-titled album Special Edition is now available which includes the original version of the phenomenal AlDub theme “God Gave Me You” by Bryan White as announced by Universal Records.
“God Gave Me You” was popularized by Grammy Award-Winning American country singer Bryan White in his 1999 album “How Lucky I Am.” The hit single then became a national anthem among AlDub fans when the phenomenal split-screen romance of Alden and dubsmash queen Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza used it as theme song on Eat Bulaga’s ‘Kalyeserye’ segment.
As one of the most successful and groundbreaking releases of Universal Records, Alden received the Gold Record Award for his debut as a recording artist and automatically paved its way to hit the Top Ten Top 10 on Billboard World Music Chart. The album also went #1 on iTunes and #1 on Odyssey Music Album Chart.
Released in 2013, Alden’s debut CD also contains seven tracks including covers of “Naaalala Ka” by Rey Valera, “‘Di Na Mababawi” by Spongecola and Itchyworms’ “Akin Ka Na Lang” and Shamrock’s “Haplos.”
