There are links to phishing and fraudulent websites [see: http://ph-mcdelivery.online,  https://www.ph-mcdonalds.online/] that are currently circulating identifying itself to be the official McDonald’s Philippines delivery website, offering special discounts and promos. McDonald’s Philippines released an advisory in its Facebook page advising customers that this is not their official delivery website, nor is it recognized or related to McDonald’s. The brand has been vigilant against such fraudulent activities such as selling counterfeit products online to these kinds of websites that aim to collect one’s payment details.

Coinciding with the recent launch of the More Fun Awaits campaign, the Department of Tourism (DOT) calls on Filipinos to be “Ambassadors of Fun” and promote their hometown’s tourist attractions using various social media platforms. This is part of the DOT’s crowdsourcing campaign wherein netizens will become tour guides of their locale by posting their own virtual tours or sharing their own photos on their recommended destination, activity, or dishes. With the pandemic far from over and cinemas still closed, QCinema International Film Festival jump cuts the challenges and proceeds again with a hybrid festival. In 2020, the festival pivoted to the new normal with a festival that featured socially distanced and by-invitation-only physical screenings coupled with online streaming. This year, from November 26 to December 5, 2021, QCinema says it will again feature physical screenings and online screening. The latter will be in cooperation with KTX.

WWF-Philippines is calling for the increased protection of river ecosystems in the country following a new global study that found that over 260,000 kilometers of free-flowing rivers are at risk of being disrupted; equivalent to going around the Earth’s equator 6.5 times. “Rivers have a very special place in Philippine history and culture.
