GLOBE Launches m.globe: The One-Stop Portal To The Ultimate Mobile Web Experience

m.globe

Globe Telecom recently launched a one-stop portal that will provide its subscribers the ultimate mobile web experience.

Launched last September 1 at Ascott Limited in Ayala Center, Makati City, the event was jampacked with guests from the traditional media and blogging community.

An exciting way to promote this latest innovation is to make it available to all Globe subscribers for FREE (using myGlobe Connect as aacess point). m.globe allows easy and convenient browsing by enabling users to use a single platform that will let them surf and browse their favorite internet sites like Facebook, Twitter among others, through their mobile phones instantly.

m.globe is designed to cater to a variety of browsing needs and habits of users. First on the list is load information, which gives prepaid users their unbilled billing charges.

Subscribers can also pull content to get updates on news and entertainment  from various online information and entertainment sites through the News and Entertainment feature.

Aside from features that provide real-time updates, the m.globe portal also enables users to search via Google right when they need it, as well as send and receive e-mails via their web mail accounts using the E-mail feature. Users can also enjoy exclusive content such as live streaming of sporting events, movie clips and wallpapers, and the most downloaded songs, as well as recommend their favorite sites to their friends to complete a content-rich mobile surfing experience.

On top of the exciting portfolio of features, subscribers can also conveniently register to the various Globe promos from a list available on the m.globe portal without having to remember keywords and prefixes.

With the influx of Android phones in the market, the m.globe portal is also available to Android users through a neatly-designed widget which allows optimum interactions with users. Subscribers in Samsung Galaxy S II, Sony Ericsson Experia Arc and other android phones with OS 2.1 onwards can enjoy the m.globe widget for free.

While access to the portal is free, data services can be availed of using a Globe mobile browsing plan. Globe has a variety of mobile browsing plans for every user, from PowerSurf 15 which is available at P0.25 per minute, Postpaid PowerSurf 99 which gives users 50MB of mobile data for only P99 or the surf-all-you want plan SuperSurf 999 good for a month’s use.
