Supermodel Kate Moss was recently named as the new face of MANGO for their Spring/Summer collection 2012.
The new campaign with luxury brand MANGO is her first major print advertisement after her marriage with guitarist Jamie Hince. She was unveiled as the new face of the brand’s spring/summer 2012 campaign at the Oxford flagship store last January 24.
The Daily Mail quoted Kate Moss as saying, “I’m really excited to be working with Mango for Spring/Summer 2012, we had a great time shooting the campaign, the team are so easy to work with and shooting with Terry is always fun.”
The new collaboration follows a prior video campaign for the brand starring Moss and photographer Terry Richardson that went viral last season. However, the Spring/Summer 2012 will be the first formal print campaign of the 38-year-old model Moss for Mango.
According to MANGO, “Kate Moss was chosen as the image of Mango because she is a world-famous fashion icon, making her one of the most sought-after models in the fashion world. She had a turbulent past, which she has put behind her to continue being a supermodel, and has recently married and become a mother. After two decades appearing on catwalks worldwide, she has demonstrated that she is the top model par excellence.”
MANGO also produced the new Spring/Summer 2012 commercial called “Spy Game” shot by Terry Richardson featuring Kate Moss. The film will be launched in early March in approximately forty countries, including France, Germany, Mexico, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
In an interview with Kate Moss, she talks about the great time she has had being part of Mango Fashion and working with Terry Richardson “I’m really excited to be working with Mango for S/S 2012, we had a great time shooting the campaign, the team are so easy to work with and shooting with Terry is always fun.”
MANGO has a reputation for featuring models and actresses of international stature and Kate Moss is the perfect choice to take over from Isabeli Fontana who was the face of the Autumn/Winter 2011 collection. Past celebrity endorsers of MANGO includes Scarlett Johansson, Pen
