The first time I tried oyster is when I went to Iloilo sometime 2001 for a vacation. That is the same year, I feel in-love with anything Ilonggo. I can still remember how much I loved the Ilonggo specialties like the batchoy and their seafoods.

As a seafood lover myself, I’d always go for the authentic dishes. And it’s good to know that Marina Oysters Seafood Grill is one of them. Marina is actually the only restaurant which has been serving people with authentic Illonggo specialties in the country. When it comes to the best of Iloilo hospitality and Filipino specialties, I believe Marina tops all in its class. In fact, it has been two good decades of providing only the finest Filipino cuisine and unsurpassed family-oriented services. Beat that!

Marina has evolved to become the most-loved and prefered by many from upper and lower market today. The good news is at 25 years; Marina is continuously grow bigger and better.

Marina is synonymous to the freshest oysters in town! Whether fresh, kilawin, sizzling, steamed, baked or grilled, diners go nowhere else but to Marina for oysters. Diners are also crazy about its other bestsellers which include Native Chicken Roasted with Lemongrass, Prawns in Chili Sauce, Grilled Managat (sea bass).

I have tried Marina twice and my recent visit was last October 19 at their Metrowalk branch. Check out what we had that night!

That night was what any food lover could dream of! Their Grilled Blue Marlin is so big, you’d still want more! It is actually the biggest serving of blue marlin that I had! It was grilled to perfection and doesn’t even have that greasy and bitter taste. I do love how they cooked their fish! Marina prides itself to have the thickest, biggest, juiciest, freshest, perfectly grilled blue marlin stake in town. And I totally agreed to them. Thank you to Myke Soon for re-introducing me to Marina Oysters Seafood Grill. I sure did know now what I’ve been missing to try!

The reason why Marina has always been ahead of other players in its league is because they had maintained the authentic native Filipino taste in its offerings. Aside from the unique Filipino concept in the over-all look and design of their outlets, Marina’s restaurants have always been clean and spacious which makes dining a pleasant experience for its costumers.

And to celebrate their successful 25 years, you can now enjoy this delectable oysters in Marina Oysters Seafood Grill for only Php 25.00 ONLY! You read it right, Php25.00 valid for tomorrow (October 25, 2012) only. This promo is good for your ala carte orders (grilled, steamed, baked, or spicy) and applicable for two (2) orders only per table. You also need to be a dine-in customer to get use of this amazing promo.

Want to know more about Marina Oyster Seafood Grill?

In 1987, the first MARINA restaurant was born beside a river in Iloilo. Renowned entrepreneurs RP and Roland Gorriceta, their parents Ross and Marina and the whole family conceptualized and put up the business venture with simple things in mind: no frills, no fuss cooked meals that are fresh and healthy and family-oriented service in a relaxing setting that renders a truly native Filipino ambiance. “The restaurant has been named MARINA because it is located near a body of water, it mainly serves seafoods from Iloilo, and it’s the name of our mother”, RP proudly explains.

With the overwhelming success of the first MARINA, three more outlets in Iloilo and another four in Cebu opened soon after. Thus, in the early 90’s, MARINA was already a popular brand in the restaurant industry in the Visayas region.

Bringing MARINA to Manila was inevitable. With the clamor of MARINA’s numerous customers from Manila and the encouragement of Gorriceta’s family friends, MARINA opened its first Metro Manila branch in Ortigas Center. As expected, it was a huge success that within six months, led to birth of another MARINA in Jupiter Street, Makati City.

To date, MARINA can be seen all around, in SM Mall of Asia, Trinoma Mall Q.C., Market! Market! and Roxas Boulevard in Boom na Boom Complex. Another addition to the several branches of MARINA, the Gorricetas also opened recently a line extension of MARINA which they named Villa Arevalo located in the posh city of Alabang in Alabang Town Center.
