After the recent devastation that the Habagat brought to the metro, Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation (SEPCO) aided our countrymen badly affected by the floods by offering free usage of washing machines. For the whole month of August, Samsung washing machines were brought to the different barangays of Marikina, San Juan and Quezon City.

Apart from the Samsung washing machines that were provided during the activity, a total of (100) 2.2kg bags of Champion detergent and (15) 8-liter fabric conditioners were also distributed to the victims of the flood to help them in washing their clothes. Employees of SEPCO were present during the activity to assist the families in using the washing machines.

Aside from helping the victims clean their clothes, SEPCO employees also visited the province of Pampanga to distribute relief goods. About 500 families were badly affected in barangay San Esteban and San Simon. Several bags containing food and toiletries were distributed. Volunteers from Red Cross were also present to help in the distribution of the relief goods.
