Filipinos can shield their loved ones from natural calamities by arming themselves with the latest information about the weather through a mobile app that can be downloaded to iPhones and iPads.
With the Project NOAH (Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazards) mobile app jointly developed by ABS-CBN and the Department of Science and Technology, users can check the probability of rain, typhoon forecast, rainfall forecast, current temperature, pressure and humidity contours, and plan for safety.
The application also shows data from the country’s various Doppler radars in Cebu, Baguio, Subic, and Tagaytay, which provide information on the intensity and volume of rainfall.
From its desktop version, the Project NOAH app is now available for mobile devices, bringing users the interactive experience offered by the high-tech weather forecasting tool.
The Project NOAH app may be downloaded free from the Apple app store.
