Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, the much awaited fourth major production of Resorts World Manila (RWM), the country’s premier one-stop, nonstop entertainment and tourism destination, officially opens on October 9, 2013.
With RWM’s continuous thrust in supporting the performing arts culture in the country, it will once again raise the curtain of its grand Newport Performing Arts Theater for the all-Filipino cast production featuring TV luminaries and on-stage love team Karylle Tatlonghari in the title role and Christian Bautista as Prince Christopher.
The well-loved fairy tale will be brought to life by veteran theater actor and director Michael Stuart Williams together with its world-class production team including production designer Andrew Botha, costume designer Aksana Sidarava, and Manila Philharmonic Orchestra led by Maestro Rodel Colmenar. The First Lady of Philippine Musical Theater, Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, will also join the cast, together with Julia Abueva, Justine Pena, Fred Lo, Pinky Marquez, Sweet Plantado, Shiela Francisco, Miguel Faustmann, Giannina Ocampo, Maronne Cruz, and Red Concepcion, among others.
