Some 300 executive level marketers gather for the first time, as the Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA), Mobext, the Certified Digital Marketer (CDM) program, and E-Learning Edge, sponsored by Smart Ads; mount the First Philippine CMO Mobile Summit in Taguig City.
With the theme: “Mobile and the Path to Purchase”, the whole day learning event tackles mobile social media, mobile commerce, mobile in retail, mobile CRM, and app marketing; with top speakers led by Twitter Asia Pacific Managing Director Aliza Knox, Google’s SEA Head of Strategic Partnership, Sergio Salvador, Singtel’s Head of Strategy and Business Development for Global Advertising, Craig Law-Smith, and Managing Director for Asia Pacific Mobile Marketing Association (MMA), Rohit Dadwal.
“The thrust of PANA this year is to help prepare our members as leaders in the next decade and inspiring them to move from local to a global mindset. As a CMO, I am excited to use this media, but I am also very anxious because there are many aspects related to its use that I do not know much about. The CMO Mobile Summit encourages each CMO to raise the level of excellence in our work and to promote a culture of continuous learning among our team members, no matter how high up in the organization you are in,” stressed PANA President Blen Fernando.
Not only is the CMO Mobile Summit 2013 a learning event, it is as well, an opportunity for establishing influential networks with fellow thought-leaders in mobile marketing. As expressed by Arthur Policarpio, head of Mobext Asia-Pacific and co-chairman of the CMO Mobile Summit 2013: “We are working in a very fast-paced industry where innovators are rewarded. Attending the CMO Mobile Summit 2013 will give marketers the competitive advantage to lead in the mobile space, especially as it is still coming into its own here in the country.”
Co-organizer, Hans Roxas Chua, CEO of eLearning Edge and co-director of the Certified Digital Marketer Program, also noted: “Based on research and case studies, we know that mobile marketing has helped various companies tremendously. We want to share this knowledge with marketing executives during the CMO Mobile Summit. The digital revolution is underway and mobile is a key strategic pillar.”
Happening on May 30 at the Banyan Hall of Blue Leaf, The Fort; the CMO Mobile Summit highlights a panel discussion where marketing heads of participating top local brands get the chance to share perspectives, raise questions, and give projections about the growing popularity of mobile marketing in the country. Confirmed panelists include Margot Torres, McDonalds Philippines’ VP of Marketing, Sandra Puno, Nestle’s Director of Communications, and Tina Sabarre, Johnson & Jonson’s Marketing Director.
