Even before it starts airing this year, reality show Top Model Philippines has already been ‘canceled’.

Last June 7, etc announced on their official website that all auditions are cancelled. But it turns out, it was the whole show that is going to be postponed.

From the management of Solar Entertainment Corporation:

Due to delays and timing concerns, we are postponing the production of Top Model Philippines until further notice.

We thank everyone who sent their applications online, the cast, production team, our business partners and especially the loyal viewers of ETC who have been very supportive and believers of this project.

Watch out for the new and exciting shows coming out soon on ETC.

Sincerely,
Wilson Tieng
President, Solar Entertainment Corp.

Top Model Philippines is an upcoming reality television series in which a number of women compete for the title of becoming the next Top Model Philippines and a chance to start their career in the modeling industry. The show will be the second Philippine adaptation of Tyra Banks‘, America’s Next Top Model after Philippines’ Next Top Model which aired in 2007 but only had one series.

The former show was cancelled after its first run due to lower ratings but was also produced by the same company. However, this new installment is expected to be of better caliber as it is to be manned by the same team behind Solar Entertainment Corporation‘s Project Runway Philippines. The show, in essence, can be considered by fans as the second cycle of the much-missed Philippines’ Next Top Model.

Former MTV VJ and model Sarah Meier-Albano is the show’s host. She is joined by model-turned-photographer Sean Armenta serves as the resident photographer/judge, model Rissa Mananquil Trillo as runway coach/judge, and former America’s Next Top Model producer Michael Carandang as Photo Shoot Director.
