It’s been quite a while since Lovi Poe last graced the coveted halls of primetime television, but viewers and her millions of fans won’t have to wait any longer as the Kapuso Network’s Premier Drama Actress makes a grand come-back in GMA Telebabad next week.
Fresh from the production of her widely talked-about docu-series “Titser” which currently airs on GMA News TV and is receiving very positive reviews, Lovi Poe is starring in the upcoming GMA primetime series “Akin Pa Rin Ang Bukas,” which is slated to replace “Mundo Mo’y Akin” beginning Monday, September 9.
The multi-awarded actress, who won not one but two Best Supporting Actress awards this year for the movie “The Womb” and Best Actress Award at the 2010 Golden Screen Awards and at the 2010 Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival for the movie “Mayohan,” is joined by some of the country’s most respected and talented artists namely Cesar Montano, Rocco Nacino, Solenn Heussaff, Charee Pineda, Gary Estrada, Ms. Liza Lorena and the Original Queen of Philippine Movies, Ms. Gloria Romero.
Armed with a transfixing story and a stellar cast, “Akin Pa Rin Ang Bukas” is primed to dominate the airwaves and captivate the hearts of Filipino viewers.
In the series, the 2010 FAMAS Best Actress (Sagrada Familia) and 2012 Best Supporting Actress (Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow – PMPC Star Awards and FAP Luna Awards) portrays the character of Lovelia who, after having been deceived by the people she loved, seeks to reclaim what’s rightfully hers. She learns to take matters into her own hands and seeks revenge against Jerry (Rocco Nacino), the man whom she loved and Agatha (Charee Pineda), the woman who stole all her possessions including her lover’s heart.
Somewhere along the way, Lovelia meets Conrad (Cesar Montano) who helps her exact vengeance against Jerry and Agatha. With a new man in her life, will Lovelia’s feelings for Jerry eventually fade away? Will anger eat up what’s left of her love for Jerry? Will she attain justice in the end?
Also starring in the series are Ina Feleo, Glenda Garcia, Tiya Pusit, Steven Silva, Kier Legaspi, Ruru Madrid and Freddie Webb.
Helmed by Ms. Laurice Guillen in her first directorial project in GMA (for a primetime series), “Akin Pa Rin Ang Bukas” will surely offer kapuso viewers another extraordinary primetime viewing experience.
Don’t miss the pilot airing of “Akin Pa Rin Ang Bukas” on Monday, September 9, after Anna Karenina on GMA Telebabad.
