Beginning this July, fans and visitors of the Café Ilang Ilang can look forward to more festive, lively and adventurous cuisine as the famed restaurant casts a spotlight on the edible delights from Spain every Thursday night. Families and friends can explore the culinary favorites of the Old Kingdom at The Manila Hotel.

Bringing the flavors of Spain to the restaurant is Chef Ainer Ebue whose vast experience in the kitchen will leave palates excited and appetites satisfied. Start your culinary adventure with the featured Sopa de Ajo (garlic broth with poached quail egg) or the classic gazpacho de sandia. Sample the exotic pulpo de gallega (cold octopus salad with potatoes) or discover the wonders of the sea with the ensalada de marisco (mixed seafood salad). A wide selection of tapas is also featured as part of the Café Ilang Ilang’s famous dinnertime spread, including morcilla (blood sausage), gamas al ajillo and empanadillas.

For the main attraction, Chef Ainer highly recommends both variations of the revered paella (alla valenciana and negra) as well as the txangurro (Basque-style crab casserole) and the cordero asado a la Castellano (roast herbed rack of lamb). Cap off the evening with any of the featured desserts, which include the olive oil-chocolate ice cream with sea salt, the churros and the melocotones al vino con salsa de yogurt (peaches poached in red wine).

Visit the Café Ilang Ilang beginning this July for some of the best Spanish dishes in Manila. The evening’s buffet rates are at PhP2,950.00 NET per person. For inquiries and table reservations, you can contact our Restaurant Reservations team via 527 0011 local 1260 or 1261.
