Ayala Foundation Incorporated (AFI) is now part of DeltaAir Lines’ SkyWish Asia, making it the first Philippines-based nonprofit to benefit from the charity program.
The SkyWish charity program was designed to partner with nonprofit organizations that can benefit from SkyWish’s mileage donation and make a difference in the community. The partner organizations are selected when their missions match Delta’s in being good corporate stewards with a focus towards supporting people in communities that they serve.
Ayala Foundation envisions communities where people are productive, creative, self-reliant, and proud to be Filipino. As a believer in creating shared value and inclusive business, it has four key program areas—Education, Youth Leadership, Sustainable Livelihood, and Arts and Culture.
“We are honored to be part of the Delta SkyWish program,” said Maria Lourdes Heras-de Leon, president of Ayala Foundation. “Partnerships play an important role in ensuring the effectiveness and sustainability of our programs, and this partnership will definitely make a mark in the lives of the people in our communities.”
Delta’s SkyMiles members can donate miles from their account to the partner organizations at delta.com,
(https://www.delta.com/buygftxfer/displayDonateMilesAsia.action). Donations start from minimum of 1,000 miles. The donated miles are used by the organizations to extend their reach and impact and to achieve their objectives.
“Through the SkyWish charity program we demonstrate Delta’s commitment to the Philippines market,” said Steven Crowdey, Delta’s director – Philippines, Australia and Micronesia. “This also provides an excellent opportunity for our customers to easily donate their miles to a good cause in the Philippines and differentiates Delta in the communities that we serve.”
Delta operates daily flights from Manila to Tokyo-Narita and Nagoya-Centrair, where customers can connect to daily flights to the U.S. More than 150 employees are based in Philippines.
