Baskin-Robbins, the world’s largest chain of ice cream specialty shops, celebrates the grand opening of its first restaurant in the Philippines located at the Upper Ground floor, Central Square at Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig.

“We are delighted to launch the world-famous Baskin-Robbins brand in the Philippines and we look forward to bringing many smiles to Filipinos with our wide selection of ice cream flavors, frozen beverages, sundaes and ice cream cakes,” said John Varughese, Vice President, Middle East, Southeast Asia and Australia for Dunkin’ Brands.

The new Baskin-Robbins restaurant in BGC serves the brand’s extensive selection of classic ice cream flavors including Pralines ‘n Cream, Mint Chocolate Chip and Very Berry Strawberry, alongside regional favorites such as Jamoca® Almond Fudge and Chocolate Mousse Royale. The brand also offers a delicious range of custom ice cream cakes, frozen treats, beverages and ice cream sundaes to its guests at the new shop.

“Baskin-Robbins is all about sharing more flavors and more fun with our guests. It has been really encouraging to see the anticipation for the brand on social media, so we are very excited about opening our first store today!” said Michael Dargani, president of IceDream Inc., Baskin-Robbins exclusive licensee in the Philippines.

Although Baskin-Robbins doesn’t serve sugar-free ice cream, they do however, serve no sugar added (NSA) flavors like Chocolate Chip NSA and Caramel Turtle NSA.

Baskin-Robbins was founded in 1945 in Glendale, California by two ice cream enthusiasts and brothers-in-law whose passion inspired what is now the world’s largest chain of ice cream specialty shops. As of 2013, Baskin-Robbins has 7,300 shops in nearly 50 countries, with U.S. having the largest number with nearly 2,500 ice cream stores. The ice cream brand is looking forward to opening more shops across the Philippines in the months to come.

Ice cream lovers can now take home their favorite flavors by availing of this special celebratory offer for the 31 days of July.
