“Maalaala Mo Kaya” will feature this Saturday (September 6) the horrifying experience of a girl named Leng (to be played by Ella Cruz and later on by Bangs Garcia) who was raped by her own father at the young age of 13. “Strong Parental Guidance” (SPG) is encouraged for young viewers who will watch this episode.

What will a sexually abused child think of her mother who does not believe her at all? Is a normal life possible for someone who had such a traumatic experience? Will she ever trust her family and believe in love again?

Joining Ella and Bangs in the upcoming “MMK” episode are Alex Castro, Jestoni Alarcon, Daisy Reyes, Veyda Innoval, Laiza Comia, Kazumi Porquez, Shane Hermogenes, Tanya Gomez, and Baby Red. It is directed by Mae Cruz and written by Denise O’Hara and Arah Jell Badayos. “MMK” is led by business unit head Malou Santos and creative manager Mel Mendoza-del Rosario.

Capturing the hearts of Filipino viewers all over the world for the past 23 years, “Maalaala Mo Kaya” has legions of fans from different generations who cried, laughed, fell in love, and got inspired through the real-life narratives of the show’s letter-senders.

Don’t miss the longest-running drama anthology in Asia, “MMK,” every Saturday, 8pm, after “Wansapanataym” on ABS-CBN.
