In celebration of its 15th year, K Channel launched last November 6 a three photo and interactive installations at the Rockwell Power Plant Mall
The fist exhibit is aptly called “Turo” a collection of stories and snaps from the 15 years of K Channel that looks back at narratives of learners and teachers, and pays tribute to partners who supported the cause for education. The second, an interactive exhibit shows K Channel’s wide array of multi-media learning resource packages in one corner, a space for playful learning in another, and an area where graphic animation demonstrations are conducted. The third is a photo exhibit on the various corporate social responsibility efforts of the Lopez Group of Companies in education, environment, health and wellness, livelihood, culture and the arts, among many others and corresponding K Channel’s shows and programs.
“The story of the last 15 years is not my story, or of Knowledge Channel’s. It is the story of the teachers and learners for whom we exist,” said Rina Lopez-Bautista, K Channel President and Executive Director in her welcome remarks during the launch.
K Channel first broadcasted on November 6, 1999, grounded on the advocacy to reach more and teach learners far and wide, so that they can be the best them for themselves, for others and for the country.
These exhibits which are open from 11:00 am – 9:00 pm, run until the November 19.
