Global warming is indeed nature’s worst enemy. It can lead to erratic weather conditions or climate change which may gravely influence our way of life. As part of our efforts to save the world, Manila Pavilion Hotel supports the advocacy of World Wildlife Fund (WWF) by observing the Earth Hour 2014.

Committed to preserve the environment, Manila Pavilion Hotel is joining thousands of businesses across the globe in putting an end to the degradation of earth’s atmosphere as it switches selected lights within the property on 29 March 2014, Saturday, from 8:30 to 9:30 pm. With its guiding principle — Energy conservation begins with us! Let’s do it the Waterfront way! — all restaurants at the property will have minimal lighting with candles to create a great ambiance for the guests. Spotlights illuminating the hotel from the outside will be temporarily replaced by torches and a Happy Hour party at the Boulvar will be held wherein souvenir items like ecobags and t-shirts will be given to guests so that they can still enjoy while supporting a meaningful campaign.

This active participation shows the hotel’s utmost concern for humanity and its strong desire to build a sustainable future for the next generation. United with almost 5 million people in over 100 countries, Manila Pavilion Hotel conveys the importance of harmony and perseverance in order to thwart the wide-spread catastrophe.

“We believe that by taking little steps like turning off the unnecessary lights will have a huge positive result. This can also help us achieve the common goal of raising awareness about climate change issues, in the same way, we are setting a positive example to other individuals and communities to take responsibility and get involved in this worthwhile mission,” said General Manager Christopher Park.

Manila Pavilion Hotel is part of the Waterfront chain of hotels and is located at United Nations avenue corner Ma. Orosa Street, Ermita, Manila. For inquiries and reservations, call 526-1212 or toll free # 1-800-10-WFRONT8 (9376688), or visit www.waterfronthotels.com.ph.
