The heat is on as Australia’s favourite cooking competition My Kitchen Rules returns for its fifth season on DIVA Universal.
12 teams of two battle it out to see whose kitchen rules and who takes home the AU$250,000 (Ps 10.3 million). A new batch of amateur home cooks step up to the stove in what promises to be one of the most hotly contested series in My Kitchen Rules history.
It’s state versus state as teams attempt to out-dine and out-wine each other to determine whose kitchen rules. Each team will take turns to transform an ordinary home into an instant restaurant for one pressure cooker night. Transitioning from french fries to foie gras, they’ll plate up a three-course menu designed to impress the judges and their fellow contestants.
To push even the best cooks to their breaking point, the show is featuring brand new twists. The My Kitchen Rules Food Truck, a massive red semi-trailer decked out with a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen will be one of the toughest challenges in My Kitchen Rules history. Award-winning celebrity chefs Manu Feildel and Pete Evans return to host and judge My Kitchen Rules. Select My Kitchen Rules teams will also form a jury to judge other team’s meals, in addition to the return of guest chef judges Colin Fassnidge, Guy Grossi, Karen Martini and Liz Egan.
The contestants’ personalities are just as exciting as their feisty cook-offs. One same-sex pair recently shocked Australia when they revealed the true nature of their relationship.
Tune in to Diva to catch everyday people cooking extraordinary food on My Kitchen Rules, premiering on May 12 at 6:05 pm on DIVA Universal Sky Cable Channel 37, Destiny Cable Channel 37, Cignal Channel 65 and Cablelink Channel 32.
