TV5’s initiative of strengthening the educational experience thru media among college students via the Karunungan University Tour continues as News5 partners this time with the country’s largest university in terms of student population, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.

This Saturday, March 22, the students of PUP will be treated to an afternoon of creative and insightful activities, with a selection of documentary viewing from the KBO—KARUNUNGAN, BALITA, OPINYON—block of News5 such as “History with Lourd”, as well as its weekly Saturday docu features, namely “Kaya” and “Yaman ng Bayan” to name a few.

This will then be followed by an exclusive talk about media as a knowledge influencer, which will be facilitated by none other than award-winning poet, musician, News5 anchor and host, Lourd de Veyra.

The Karunungan University Tour had its successful initial run at the Philippine Christian University last March 10, where over 300 students participated in the event and listened to the exclusive lecture of news anchor and host of “KBO” block’s Numero (airing every Tuesday at 10pm), Cheryl Cosim.

TV5 aims to further this special cause by establishing even more partnerships with other educational institutions, after it rolls out in the tour’s third stop, in April.
