Spotify + Fit For Fashion Unveils Best Runway-Ready Workouts In The Philippines

Spotify, the world’s most popular music streaming service, today reveals the hottest tracks topping Philippines’ workout playlists. In collaboration with Asia’s hottest new reality TV show Fit for Fashion, Spotify has also unveiled tailored workout playlists featuring song recommendations from the show’s trainers and contestants to help you get the most from your workout.

Across Asia, Wasted by Tiësto tops the charts as the most popular workout song, followed by Iggy Azalea’s Fancy and Coldplay’s A Sky Full Of Stars in a tussle for second place. In Philippines, Spotify users are increasingly searching for music that helps them get the most out of their “sweat-time”, by looking for songs such as “workout”, “gym”, “yoga”, and “running”. The data has been aggregated by Spotify by scanning playlists as well as search keywords related to various workouts.

Spotify’s first TV show partner in Asia, Fit for Fashion is set to transform 12 ordinary men and women into fit, stylish and confident individuals through a series of grueling physical and fashion challenges. Contestants will be competing for a USD100,000 top prize and the chance to grace the cover of a magazine.

Fit for Fashion’s Episode 7 will showcase Spotify as it focuses on the role music plays in training up a runway-ready body. Featuring inspirational contestant transformations alongside expert fitness and styling advice, the show aims to motivate viewers to exercise their right to reach their full potential.

Christine Bullock, one of the celebrity trainers on the show said: “The beat, pace and words of a song motivate the pace of my own workout. I love when a fast-paced song comes on right when I’ve exhausted my reps and I’m about to quit. It can motivate me to complete at least a few more.”

Jerald Foo, one of the contestants added: “When it comes to workout song genres, my favourite would be EDM. It really gets me pumped up and ready to go. It’s really all about habits – I only listen to EDM just before I party or workout. This way, my mind links ‘partying’ with ‘workouts’ and I’ll get very excited every time I hit the gym.”

Episode 7 of Fit for Fashion premieres November 27, Thursday, and will feature exclusive Spotify playlists with top workout tracks, as well as songs curated from contestants’ workout routines and fashion challenges. The bespoke playlists will be available to Fit for Fashion viewers on Spotify to motivate the audience to work up a sweat alongside their favorite contestants.

“Whether you are doing a high-intensity workout or a mellow yoga class, Spotify has songs of all genres and pace that can fit your mood and routine,” said Sunita Kaur, Spotify Asia’s Managing Director. “Our collaboration with Fit for Fashion is a great example of how music can enhance various moments. In this case workouts and challenges help inspire the show’s contestants to achieve that runway-ready look.”

Find out more about how music can enhance your workout by tuning in to episode 7 of Fit for Fashion, premieres on November 27, Thursday, at 9:45 PM on StarWorld.
