Pilipinas Global Network Ltd (PGNL), TV5’s international arm, starts the year right with the production of its very first original content entitled Ganito Na Kami Ngayon, which is about and especially designed for Filipinos overseas.

This weekly 30-minute program features reunions and homecomings, showcases hometowns and popular destinations, and will also be about rediscovering roots. Some lucky kababayans who have lived abroad for many years are given the opportunity to finally return “home” and be brought to different must-see places in the metropolis and in the provinces.

Ganito Na Kami Ngayon’s pilot episode, which aired last January 11, put the spotlight on Ferdie Penala, an OFW from Dubai who decided to come home after five years to surprise his girlfriend with a marriage proposal. Viewers can catch the show’s second episode airing on January 18, which chronicles the story of Marc Cabrera and Marcel Cabrera, two brothers who return to the country after being away for over a decade. Through them, the episode highlights the many developments the province of Rizal has undergone throughout the years.

“It’s about time we created something different. We want to be a part of our Kapatids’ journey back home and witness how they will  reconnect with their loved ones in a very light  but heartwarming, fun and informative manner,” says Claro Carmelo Ramirez, PGNL/TV5 International President.

Catch more episodes of Ganito Na Kami Ngayon on KapatidTV5 every Saturday in the US, Canada, Australia and the Middle East.
