TV5’s highly anticipated station ID debuted on the network’s primetime block on Wednesday, pleasantly illustrating why TV5 is called the happy network.
Aptly themed “Happy Ka Dito,” the video is led by Derek Ramsay, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Ogie Alcasid, Ritz Azul, Alice Dixson with the rest of the Kapatid talents, hosts, newscasters, sportsmen, employees, and audiences all gamely dancing to Pharrell William’s popular song “Happy” from the Despicable Me 2 movie sound track.
It is refreshing to see the superstar Nora Aunor, journalists Luchi Cruz-Valdes, Paolo Bediones, the Tulfo brothers, and basketball royalties Coach Chot Reyes and the Gilas Pilipinas team in a different light – grooving, rocking, and simply having fun in this music video.
Joining in the fun are industry icons Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, Richard Gomez, and Edu Manzano; young stars Vin Abrenica, Alwyn Uytingco, Mart Escudero, Eula Caballero, Mark Neumann, Valeen Montenegro, Edgar Allan Guzman, and the Artista Academy scholars; heartthrobs Wendell Ramos and the half-Pinoy group Juan Direction; thesinging trio Isabelle De Leon, Lara Maigue and Katrina Velarde of Trenderas; hosts Raymond Gutierrez, Gelli de Belen, Tintin Bersola, Grace Lee, Tuesday Vargas and Jojo Alejar; News5’s Martin Andanar, Cheryl Cosim, Lourd de Veyra and Jun Sabayton; sportscaster Erika Padilla; andfunnymen Empoy and Bayani Agbayani.
Full of fun, laughter, dancing, and kulitan, the two-minute Station ID mirrors the happiness the stars and the staff feel in their everyday life with the Kapatid Network, and they want to share this happiness with the viewers.
The video was shot in TV5 Novaliches and TV5 Media Center in Reliance, Mandaluyong, and in the heat of Basketball action of the NCAA and Gilas scrimmages. The video also includes other TV5 employees, fans, studio audiences as well as street bystanders.
Leaving a feel-good vibe to those who watched it, the Station ID is a testament that every TV5 program is made of hard work and fun, making the Kapatid Network’s community of talents and employees true ambassadors for happiness.
