In 2014, with the help of 5 Seconds Of Summer, the No. 1 Music Company in the Philippines, MCA MUSIC, flew two lucky winners who each got to bring a friend and guardian in an all-expense VIP trip to Los Angeles, California to experience the first-ever DERPCON hosted by the band. Winners spent the entire afternoon at the Paramount Studios. Universal temporarily closed down the entire set for fans and winners all over the world so they can hang out with 5SOS. They were also treated to an intimate acoustic session by their pop idols! The next day they were all chauffeured to and from The iconic Forum arena!
This year, the boys will play a killer 90-minute set in a secret location on the East Coast of the USA. The show shall feature music from their brand new album just one week after the release of their sophomore record entitled “Sounds Good, Feels Good”. Similar to last year’s event, 5SOS has selected fans who shall attend this year’s DERPCON. Aside from getting to hang out with the boys, the fans will be able to experience a very unique 5SOS interactive pop-up Art Gallery showcasing all things 5SOS. And not only that, the band will be streaming the entire 90-minute show live to twelve 5SOS Pop-Up Galleries all around the world from Madrid to Manila, London to Lisbon!
5 Seconds of Summer shall take last year’s DERPCON experience to new heights, through another DERPCON event called “The New Broken Scene”. Saturday 31st October is when the real fun begins. Winners will be taken to a secret location in Atlanta, Georgia where they will visit a world created by 5 Seconds of Summer. The fans will be transported into a hugely exciting and innovative experience, where they will travel through the history of 5 Seconds Of Summer, witness experiences that they have never been seen before, and most importantly, meet the band. But that’s not all… The winners will be given a ticket to the best HALLOWEEN PARTY ever!
5 Seconds of Summer shall be performing new tracks from their new album for the very first time, in an intimate venue! The show will be streamed around the world for fans to watch, but these competition winners will have the chance to be there in the flesh, to help create ‘The New Broken Scene’ history! As members of The New Broken Scene, the winners will meet the band, have their photos taken and have priority seats for the live show later that day.
Meanwhile in Manila, local winners of The New Broken Scene will have the chance to watch the exclusive live streaming event of 5 Seconds of Summer’s New Broken Scene in Atlanta, Georgia and get to enjoy the first ever Halloween fan fair on the dawn of November 1st, 3AM at Whitespace Manila, Makati City Lots of exciting activities, games, contests and giveaways await the fans!
