The winning team brought home P150,000.00 after developing an app called e-Ligtas, a mobile or wearable technology application that allows a user, in need of immediate help, to send an automatic SMS with GPS that coordinates his/her current location, as well as an automated call with just a tap or shake of one’s device. Team Sweldong Pinoy made up of Jomar Tigcal and Celine Barrozo, and Team CAFfre Fort, consisting of Samuel Jacob Francisco, Gian Darren Azriel Aquino, and Harold Calayan, bagged the second and third place awards, respectively.
