Started from a simple jamming session to live performances, from a simple applause to a roaring sound of appreciation, from covers to having their own original songs, these are among the changes that transpired in the life of Filipino band called “ASHERDASH”.
The Valenzuela City based band composed of Fred Lim on Vocals, Mhaque Doblada on Guitars, Micky Lara on Bass, Jess Mansibang plus Gemson Alfelor on keyboard/back-up vocals, and Aries Panis on Drums, goes with their individual lives as an aspiring musician as they have to fine tune many obstacles in this life. Their climb to where they are right now was not a walk in the park. They had to jump over a very high barrier, considering there are many aspiring music enthusiasts who like them, would like to be recognized too. Their individual struggles are also not to be taken for granted, they have unique issues which at most times affects their spirits to hit the chart.
But they are not to be disheartened by these life’s challenges. Their thirst for affirmation brought them a vision, and their passion carried them to a media sensation.
After guesting in a few FM radio stations and participated in SMB BDC event in Metro Manila and nearby provinces, the band started to gain followers both in airwaves and social networking. When they were invited to perform on national TV, the band’s journey to fame was gradually becoming into reality.
After years of performing covers, the band will be launching their debut album, with their carrier single “Katiyakan” and will be followed by its music video that will be announced soon. Katiyakan is playing already playing in some major radio stations, as well as, their other single called “Tanong Ko Lang” which haven’t been formally launched yet, but became the audience favorite every time the band is in live performance.
Meanwhile the song “Materyosa” left a mark on the peoples’ consciousness after an episode at ABS CBN’s Pinoy Big Brother All In aired last July 2014 when Fifth Solomon admitted to his fellow housemate that he is bisexual.
As part of the promotional campaign of the TEAM ASHERDASH, the group is now doing a nationwide program (hooked up) that happens every Saturday from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm wherein they sing requests and float theirs songs respectively.
While The ASHERDASH band is busy doing gigs in different bars all over the city, their studio album entitled “Take Me Out” will soon be available and will be promoted thru a series of mall shows.
