ABS-CBN launched last Saturday, November 14, 2015, its all-original dance reality-talent search for kids, “Dance Kids”.

In this age where krumping and hip-hop dominate the streets, the Dance Masters re-establish their brand by incorporating their respective genre to the choreography.

Georcelle Dapat – Sy, Andy Alviz and Vhong Navarro opened the show with their trademark moves as they pay tribute to Pinoy popular street games such as ‘piko’, ‘tumbang-preso’, ‘sipa’, and the all-time favorite ‘patintero’.

“Maraming bata ang talented pero hindi nabibigyan ng break. Ito na ang time para mag-shine sila. Ito na ang time para maipakita nila kung anumang talent ang meron sila sa pagsasayaw.” said ‘Hari ng Dancefloor’ Vhong Navarro who performed with the new generation of Streetboys.

Teacher Georcelle known as ‘The Choreographer of the Stars’  performed with her group, The G-Force, in the said opening number. She also pointed out the importance of the right foundation  with the statement “Importante na bata pa lang sila ay naiintindihan na nila ang importance ng training.”

While Andy Alviz, dubbed as ‘The Dance Master’, showcased contemporary dance and tap-dance warned the aspiring Dance Artists on the challenges of becoming a professional dancer. “Hindi madali ang magsayaw. Dancing is the hardest art in the world.”

Dance Kids is hosted by Robi Domingo and Alex Gonzaga, and airs 6:15pm Saturdays and 6:00pm Sundays.
