Federico Aguilar Alcuaz, an award winning Filipino painter who exhibited extensively internationally conferred the title of National Artist for Visual Arts, Painting, Sculpture and Mixed Media in 2009. In his 55-year art career, Federico has called Manila Pavilion Hotel as his home.
On November of 2014, Manila Pavilion Hotel has declared and renamed its second floor, as it completed the second phase of its recently accomplished multi-million peso renovation has named their function rooms in honor to the hotel’s longest-staying and most famous resident: the late National Artist Federico Aguilar Alcuaz. Two of his renowned pieces ‘The Beatification of San Lorenzo Ruiz’ and ‘Birth of a New Republic’ still sits and mounted at the foyer in memory of the artist.
To commemorate Mr. Alcuaz and in celebration to all the successful events held, memories made and shared Manila Pavilion Hotel will be having its first Eventoligists night as VIP’s wherein all Alcuaz Function Rooms will be showcasing different themes.
On Friday 27th of November, one of the country’s pioneering hotel invites all those event and conference planners to experience a get-together and be guests for a change after all their hard work celebrating and arranging others. Kassy Pajarillo, Manila Pavilion’s marketing head explains: “We have already hosted more than 100 events in a year alone, from seminars, mini-conferences, debuts, birthday to anniversary parties and weddings. We would want to thank every planner for being eventologists ensuring every special occasion is delivered to perfection. This is for them.”
“These events are all about individuals celebrating milestones and saying, “I do”. Having to choose us as a venue is us imparting that “We are with you”’ shared by Manila Pavilion’s newly appointed General Manager Jim Boyles, a American-Japanese national, who exemplifies emphasis on celebrating and taking good care of people every day.
“We aren’t asking anything other than their presence, socialize, and have a great time,” says Ms. Pajarillo.
