Artikulo Uno Productions, the producers of the historical action epic “Heneral Luna“, are hosting a special advance screening on Monday, August 10, 2015, 6:00 p.m. at the Greenhills Promenade Mall’s Cinema 8.

Directed by Jerrold Tarog, the movie features John Arcilla in the title role, with a cast of seasoned actors including Mon Confiado, Epy Quizon, Leo Martinez, Nonie Buencamino, Bing Pimentel, Mylene Dizon and young actors Ketchup Eusebio, Arron Villaflor and Paulo Avelino.

In addition to honoring the memory of General Luna, Artikulo Uno also takes pride in honoring our modern-day heroes by supporting the Hero Foundation, an organization that provides educational assistance to children of soldiers killed or incapacitated in the line of duty. The proceeds from the special screening have been earmarked for the aforementioned beneficiary.

“Building a strong sense of nationhood should begin with all of us. The HERO Foundation commends the movie “Heneral Luna” for taking big steps in instilling a strong sense of patriotism among our youth, and educating them anew about the selflessness and gallantry of our unsung heroes,” remarks former AFP Chief of Staff and HERO Foundation co-founder/vice-chairman Gen. Renato de Villa, AFP (Ret).

In keeping with the movie’s objective of rekindling a deeper sense of appreciation for Filipino history and culture, “Heneral Luna” also hopes to inspire critical thinking and incite cultural reawakening, as well as nurture a new generation of Filipino heroes among today’s youth.

“Heneral Luna” opens in major theaters on September 9. For more details, log-on to: www.henerallunathemovie.com.
