Warner Bros artist Mr. Radio, aka Jason Derulo, has set another milestone with “Want To Want Me” becoming the most added track in the history of Top 40 radio, besting the records of pop royalty such as Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Madonna and Katy Perry. Shattering the previous record held by Justin Timberlake at 126, Jason Derulo’s “Want To Want Me” was added to 156 monitored pop stations, making it the biggest Top 40 US radio launch ever.
Released in early March, the ’80s-inspired pop tune, “Want To Want Me” was produced by Grammy-nominated producer, Ian Kirkpatrick, and written by Kirkpatrick, Sam Martin, Lindy Robbins, Mitch Allan and Jason Derulo himself.
“I still can’t believe this ride. I couldn’t walk two years ago and now I am breaking records.”
In addition to breaking records, Jason is taking an unconventional approach to releasing his new music video through the extremely popular social app, Tinder. Jason states, “I wanted to find a new unique way to launch my video. I know my fans are tapped into social networking so what better way to launch my video for ‘Want To Want Me’ than through one of the fastest rising social networking apps, Tinder. I see this app as the wave of the future. I know my fans will swipe right.”
