“Modern Living TV” presents its season ender ala-Cinderella replete with drama and denouement.
This weekend’s episode focuses on Rags2Riches, the eco-ethical home of fashion and home accessories. Unlike factory-made products, the brand is powered by talented artisans living in poor communities across the country. Their products are made of upcycled scrap cloth, organic materials and indigenous fabrics. Surely there are no boo-hoomoments, only happy endings as far as Filipiniana and the environment go.
The for-profit social enterprise Rags2Riches based in Manila has integrated a design solution by partnering with the most influential Pinoy designers. It’s a victory song for grassroots entrepreneurship being written for six years now and bound to continue as sure as women love ‘em handwoven handbags and then some! Kudos and applause to Rags2Riches president and co-founder Reese Fernandez-Ruiz who is featured on the show. Bravo!
This is the perfect period to a highly successful season that could only give way to the next one certain to be bigger and brighter in 2016. Can’t wait? We know.
Hosted by Bianca Gonzales and Stephanie Zubiri-Crespi, “Modern Living TV” airs Saturdays at 6 p.m. with replays the next day at 10 a.m. both on the ANC Channel.
