Lifestyle once again hosted its third charity dinner event to rally support for its beneficiary, I Can Serve Foundation and raise funds for their various projects on Breast Cancer Awareness on October 21 at The Tent, Enderun.
For the third year of Lifestyle’s “Around the World in Small Plates,” food lovers feasted on regional cuisines from around the world as Lifestyle gathered the experts and most in demand chefs and restaurateurs for a night of a 360 gastronomic experience.
“For the third time, Lifestyle partnered with I Can Serve Foundation to support their advocacy in raising awareness on breast cancer, a timely cause since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” Tippy Benedito, Lifestyle Channel Head said.
She added, “This is the channel’s way of fusing our passion for food and giving back to society. It’s our way also to influence our viewers and food lovers that they can contribute positively to a good cause,while indulging in great food.”
The roster of chefs and restaurateurs who took part in “Around the World in Small Plates” include Lifestyle’s homegrown chefs such as chefs SharwinTee, Jonas Ng, Marco Lobregat with chef Ed Bugia, and Cynthia Patos; premiere Pinoy chefs Claude Tayag of Bale Dutung, Gene and Gino of Café Ysabel, Robby Goco of Cyma and Green Pastures, Dedet Dela Fuenta of Pepita’s Lechon, and JP Anglo of Kafe Batwan and Sarsa.
Renowned international chefs Josh Boutwood of the Bistro Group, Him Uy De Baron of I Am Kim and Cocina Peruvia, and Chele Gonzalez of Gallery Vask also united for the special dinner for a cause.
“Around the World in Small Plates” also featured the sumptuous creations of other chefsfrom Enderun Colleges to Champetre, among others.
Lifestyle’s “Around the World in Small Plates” started in 2012 when the cable channel mounted one of the most ambitious dining events in the metro that united 21 of Manila’s top chefs to showcase an unforgettable dining experience. With an 18-course dinner menu of specials served in small plates, the first event was attended by 300 guests who supported I Can Serve Foundation.
Meanwhile in 2013, 400 guests who supported the movement of I Can Serve Foundation to raise funds for typhoon Yolanda victims united under one roof for the second “Around the Philippines in Small Plates” event of Lifestyle which showcased the best local cuisine coming from 31 of the country’s most celebrated chefs.
