Macy Kate, from ABC Television’s hit vocal competition “Rising Star,” will perform alongside Bea Miller and Jacob Whitesides, at the Radio Disney Music Awards 2015 post-party, prior to joining up with the Warped Tour.
Macy Kate steadily continues her climb into the young Hollywood scene, making a name for herself beside the major label supported artists of her generation. As a young and powerful vocal phenom, she is known for being a multi-talented artist. Not only is she a gifted and classically trained pianist, accomplished host/actress on Awesomeness TV’s popular teen talk show “IMO,” but also has an unique, identifiable, vocal tone, that has been compared to world renown powerhouses such as Christina Aguilera. With the tremendous amount of independent success since the release of her July 2013 YouTube cover video, “Radioactive,” which has accumulated over 16 million views to date, Kate has built up an international fan-base of thousands of youth music lovers that continue to support her journey.
In a few short months, Macy Kate will join the legendary and wildly popular Vans Warped Tour, where she will take to the stage with her recently released single “5 Stages of Lovin You.” Since the official announcement, fans from all over the world have rallied together to launch a hash-tag campaign; #5stagesoflovinyou. Macy has been overwhelmed by the response of the song, which was written from a very personal place about a heart felt love loss.
In addition to joining the Warped Tour lineup, Macy Kate has been confirmed to rock the stage on Saturday, April 25th, at the Radio Disney Music Awards post-party, with Jacob Whitesides and Bea Miller. The main awards show will be held at the Nokia Theatre at L.A. LIVE, with the post-show immediately following at the Conga Room. Past headliners have included performances from artists such as Cody Simpson and Fifth Harmony.
In the first quarter of 2015, Macy Kate landed an endorsement deal with Daisy Rock Guitars, where she has taken a seat on their roster next to some of the most well established female rockers in the world such as The Bangles, Lisa Loeb, Miley Cyrus, Nancy Wilson, and Norah Jones to name a few. She looks forward to representing DRG on Warped Tour, and in her live performance this coming Saturday.
